Direct, software-defined connections to AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and more: cloud onramps, multicloud routing and data center interconnect through the platforms of our partners Megaport, DE-CIX and Console Connect, operated by KAEMI.
The cloud is fast. The path to it often is not.
Many companies reach their cloud environments over the public internet or through VPN tunnels with limited bandwidth. The result: fluctuating latency, unnecessary attack surface and egress costs that grow with every gigabyte. Classic carrier circuits, in turn, are too rigid for a world where workloads move between AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
Cloud Connectivity & SDN by KAEMI solves this with software-defined private connections: cloud onramps, multicloud routing and data center interconnect are provisioned in minutes via portal or API and scale flexibly. We select the right platform for your requirements from the portfolio of our partners Megaport, DE-CIX and Console Connect, integrate the connectivity into your network architecture and operate it as a managed service.
Direct connections to AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect, Oracle FastConnect, IBM Direct Link and Alibaba Express Connect. The DE-CIX Cloud Exchange offers more than 50 cloud providers, attached via VLAN and without touching the open internet.
Multicloud routing without your own hardware
Virtual routers such as the Megaport Cloud Router and the DE-CIX Cloud ROUTER connect cloud environments directly with each other, with bandwidths from 0.1 to 400 Gbps. No backhauling through your own data center, no router appliances, no colocation presence required.
Parallel connections to multiple clouds
One physical port is enough to attach several clouds in parallel: virtual connections to AWS, Azure and Google Cloud run cleanly separated over the same access and scale individually. New clouds join without an additional circuit, and redundant paths across two access points protect critical workloads. Multicloud stays an architecture decision, not a cabling question.
Provisioning in minutes instead of months
New connections and bandwidth changes come from the portal or via API and Terraform, at Megaport in roughly 60 seconds. Instead of waiting for carrier delivery, you scale connectivity when the project needs it.
Interconnecting data centers and sites
Data center interconnect links your own data centers with each other and with the clouds. Console Connect extends this worldwide: data centers, clouds and internet exchanges connect on demand into one private network.
Predictable costs instead of egress surprises
Private connectivity cuts cloud provider egress fees significantly compared to internet transfers. Add flexible terms, starting at one month with DE-CIX DirectCLOUD, and bandwidth that follows your demand instead of the other way round.
Security through internet bypass
Traffic between sites, data centers and clouds travels over private platforms instead of the public internet. That shrinks the attack surface and makes performance predictable; link-level encryption such as MACsec is available.
Integration into your network architecture
Cloud connectivity is not an island: we mesh the private connections with your SD-WAN and SASE/SSE architecture, take over monitoring and operations, and keep capacity and costs in view.

Frequently asked questions
What is SDN interconnection?
SDN interconnection means private network connections provisioned in software through platforms such as Megaport, DE-CIX or Console Connect. Instead of waiting weeks for a carrier circuit, you order connections to clouds, data centers and partners via portal or API, active within minutes and flexible in bandwidth.
How is this different from a VPN over the internet?
VPN tunnels run over the public internet and inherit its fluctuations: changing latency, packet loss and limited bandwidth. Private interconnection bypasses the internet entirely; traffic travels over dedicated platforms with predictable performance and a much smaller attack surface.
Why not simply MPLS?
MPLS circuits are reliable but rigid: fixed bandwidths, long contract terms and weeks to months of delivery time. For multicloud scenarios with constantly changing requirements a software-defined model is the better fit; existing MPLS links can be replaced or complemented step by step.
Which clouds and platforms are supported?
Direct onramps exist for AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, Google Cloud Interconnect, Oracle FastConnect, IBM Direct Link and Alibaba Express Connect. The DE-CIX Cloud Exchange reaches more than 50 cloud providers. Depending on requirements we build on Megaport, DE-CIX and Console Connect, all three of them KAEMI partners.
How quickly is the connection ready and what terms apply?
Once the physical access to the platform is in place, virtual connections are provisioned in minutes, at Megaport in roughly 60 seconds. Terms are flexible; DE-CIX DirectCLOUD starts at one month, and longer terms lower the price.
Who is Cloud Connectivity & SDN for?
For companies running business-critical workloads in the cloud whose connectivity today relies on internet or VPN: from multicloud setups and hybrid scenarios with their own data center to companies that want to get high egress costs or fluctuating performance under control.
