It routes traffic between Mainland China and the rest of the world over optimized network paths run by local partners such as JD Cloud, China Mobile International and CBC Tech. Response times and stability improve most for dynamic content like APIs and logins that cannot be cached.

Why do I need an ICP filing?

The ICP filing is a regulatory requirement for websites and services operated in Mainland China and applies per domain. Without it, content may not be served from Chinese data centers. KAEMI guides you through the process from preparing the paperwork to activation in the Cloudflare dashboard.

Does China Connectivity replace our VPN for employees in China?

Yes, that is one of the most common use cases. Employees in China access European applications through Zero Trust with the Cloudflare One client and Global Acceleration. The connection runs over optimized paths and is far more stable than classic VPN tunnels across the public transit points.

Which Cloudflare products are available in China?

The China Network includes CDN and caching, authoritative DNS, WAF with managed and custom rules, application-layer DDoS mitigation, rate limiting, bot management, load balancing, Argo Smart Routing and Workers, among others. A few features such as Turnstile or Cache Reserve are not available in Mainland China; we check coverage against your requirements up front.

What are the prerequisites?

The China Network requires a Cloudflare Enterprise plan with its own subscription, plus an ICP filing for every domain served inside China. IPv6 is activated automatically for regulatory reasons. For pure acceleration from China to Europe we clarify the prerequisites as part of the analysis.
